  Power kites are perhaps the most popular type of kite at present, likened to a parachute, the bigger kites produce massive pull, however the smaller kites of around 2 meters can be used to get to grips with controlling them.

  Power kites come with either 2 or 4 lines to control them. The most popular option being the 4 line power kites, the extra two lines act as brakes to slow the kite down.

• Kite Buggies

  The kite buggy is a three wheeled landsailer and the pilot uses power kites to generate the pull. The most common buggy designs are from Peter Lynn and Flexifoil.

  Common design characteristics include stainless steel tube frame, low centre of gravity, excellent centre of balance (this allows for great manoeuvrability) and they can be quickly disassembled for easy transport. Buggies aren't the cheapest accessory you will buy (ranging from around £250 to over £600) however they are very durable and will most likely last you many, many years.
