The Vibe is now into its second generation and Peter Lynn have really set the bar for entry level power kites. It is fast and agile whilst remaining incredibly easy to control.

Contents

peter lynn vibePeter Lynn have managed to squeeze everything you need to start flying into a really small and compact pouch, the pouch itself is a really great looking carrier and a nice improvement from the Vibe 1. As with most beginner power kites the equipment needed to start flying is fairly minimal and the Vibe is no exception, it comes with the Vibe 2 foil, and a set of lines and wrist straps (the 2.3 and 2.6 versions come with padded wrist straps to accommodate the extra pull and keep flying comfortable. Everything has a really nice feel of quality to it and you can really see that Peter Lynn have made a great effort to make the Vibe the market leader in beginner power kites.

New Features

The best feature of the Vibe 2 is that each kite size has been individually developed to make the flying experience as thrilling and enjoyable as possible in each size, this is a really nice touch and again shows the effort that has gone into the development process of the Vibe. Durability was obviously very high on Peter Lynn’s priority list as the Vibe 2 feels like a real quality product, it has a host of new features aimed at improving its lifespan and reducing the risk of damage when crashing. These include new webbing reinforced cross vents, reinforced air intakes and bridle points and the latest high quality materials.

What's it like to fly?

Incredibly fun! It really is one of the most fun kites we have flown, it manages to be fast, agile and controllable all at the same time. The first flight can take you by surprise as you don’t expect it to be quite so fast but it takes a matter of seconds to settle in to flying and after that it is an entirely addictive kite. Due to the size of the Vibes you do have to keep the kite moving in lower winds to enable it to stay in the air, but as it is such an efficient kite this is not hard work at all, however if the kite does depower and land, it is incredibly easy to re-launch and you will be up and flying again in no time.

Overall

There really isn’t much to say about the Vibe, other than it is a really, really fantastic kite that screams fun and quality, it that comes with everything you need to get the entire family up an flying and because of its size it can be chucked in a rucksack or in the back of the car and taken off for a flying session with ease.
