There aren't many kites around these days that have been a part of so many flyers history , the Blade however, breaks this trend. Now into its fifth evolution of development, it really is head and shoulders above every other land kite and offers stability and smoothness of power that no other can. And to top it all of, the Blade V remains one of the most fun kites to fly that money can buy.
When developing the fifth generation of the Blade, the foundation was once again to create a land kite with power and design, the message also remains the same, only fly this kite if you're ready for a challenge, the Blade is no kids toy, it means business! and is meant only for the more advanced flyer.
Like every great product in history the Blade V comes with a legend. This legend being that a Blade 4.9 once took a man into space. OK so some legends aren't correct but you can be sure of one thing, the power that you have when flying a Blade really is true!

Why fix something that isn't broken. The blade 5 was developed with this philosophy in mind, each of the features that made the previous blade so successful have had minor adjustments. However, each of these small changes have added up to a kite that sets new bars in terms of stability and power.
The Blade 5 is an exceptionally fast turning and agile kite, this is down to its high aspect ratio and swept plan form. This, when combined with a hugely powerful foil generates immense levels of lift and pull, stability however, is not compromised at all.
Another feature of The Blade V is its high cell count, and its thin aerofoil design, The Blade has a total of 30 individual cells, which is double the average for an entry level power kite, the extra cells keep the aerofoil shape accurately defined, making it very fast and powerful.
When developing the Blade, Flexifoil wanted to create a kite that could offer an unrivalled balance between maximum support and reduced drag. This was achieved by using minimal bridling and a newly developed V-rib design. These changes offer more support to the inside of the kite and spread the load right the way across the foil, this allows the kite to keep its exceptional aerodynamic profile.
Real thought and effort went into designing the Blade V, features like the sand out vents allow the pilot to empty any debris out of the foil which means the blade stays more stable for longer. Another intelligent feature that has been added to this generation of the Flexifoil Blade is the Mylar capping which is sewn on to the trailing edge. This gives he kite more rigidity whilst in the air which allows it to cut through the air far more precisely.
Cross port venting allows air through-flow between the cells to support optimum consistency when inflated, adding particular efficiency to the kite during launch and turns.
